Influence the Judges!
Whether you performed you're experiments at a university research laboratory, worked in your school lab, or took over your home's kitchen basement, everyone has the potential to really impress the judges.
We've put together a lot of information to help you get everything you did and learned into your reports and onto your display. Remember that the judges make a lot of decisions during preliminary judging - when you are not there. Clarity may only be 10% but if you're conclusion is based off of data buried in a report you've lost points in the 30% category of Scientific Thought/Engineering Goals and probably some points in Thoroughness, 15%.
You don't need to be an aspiring artist to put together a display that clearly highlights your accomplishments.
> Judging process - How the judging process works.
> Display Rules & Regulations - Every project
must be displayed according to the same standards and in a fashion that
assures the safety of the participants. Please read and follow them carefully.
> Display Hints from the Fair Committee (aka judges) - Good ideas and bad ideas
> Tips from the CSF - The wonders of rubber cement, dressing the part, and judging pet peeves.
> Still Stuck? - Links to other sites with project display tips. You can also search for images of science fair projects (images.google.com).
Workshops (None currently scheduled)
- Teachers Workshop - Late October each year. Learn about the rules and what makes a great science or engineering project.
- Student Workshop - Late January each year. Learn how to present your work effectively.
