William Newberry and Eliza McNitt win Special Awards at the 2009 ISEF. Congrats to William for his 2nd Award of $1500 from SPIE- The International Society for Optical Engineering and to Eliza on the Air Force Research Laboratory 1st Award of $3000. See all the special award winners.

>2008 CT Women's Hall of Fame– Four 2008 CSF high school young women winners were Honorees at the 13th Annual Gala & Induction Ceremony, each receiving $1000 cash.
>National Gallery for America's Young Inventors- 2008 1st place HS Physical Sciences Winner, Theresa Oei,Hebron, CT, named as an America's Young Inventor.
>Society for Science & The Public Middle School Program– Six Students from Hillel Academy, Fairfield, named as semi-finalists in the national middle school competition. Fourteen CSF students entered this competition through invitations that they received at 2008 Connecticut Science Fair.

on winning the Siemens Foundation New England regional
competition -
Alex was a Connecticut Science Fair winner in 2000,
2001, 2002 and an ISEF 2002 Overall Winner.

CSF alumni are regional finalists in the 2002 Siemens
Westinghouse Scholarship competition - Alexander
Mittal of Greenwich High School and Michael Nyberg of
Old Lyme have been named regional finalists. Thirty
regional finalists are chosen nationwide. Our best wishes
to Alex and Mike in the next round of competition to
take place at MIT on November 8 and 9.
[Previous CSF alumni who were Siemens
winners are Jacob Licht of Hall High School, West Hartford
($30,00) in 2001 and Mariangela Lisanti, Staples High
