THE CSTA MARTY TAFEL STUDENT RESEARCH
AWARD
The Connecticut Science Teachers
Association (CSTA) has approved two new awards for presentation
at the 2003 Connecticut Science Fair. The "Connecticut Science
Teachers Association's Marty Tafel Student Research Awards"
will be given annually to the top individual winners of the fair's
eighth grade life and physical science category (one award in category).
The award is $500 cash and is contingent on the winner submitting
an article on their research project to the Connecticut Journal
of Science Education. The awards will be presented by Ms. Pat Ruane,
CSTA President, at the 2003 finalist awards ceremonies on Thursday
afternoon, March 13.
CSF is delighted to be working with the CSTA in administering this
award which is a memorial to one of Connecticut's legendary middle
school science teachers.
