PARENTAL SUPPORT
Dear Parents:
The Connecticut Science Fair has begun a funding drive. We hope
you will contribute. This will be the 55th annual fair that we have
provided without fees to Connecticut students. It is only possible
due the untiring efforts of many volunteers and the financial support
of business and individuals.
As a nonprofit educational organization, we serve the youth of
Connecticut by providing opportunities for recognition for those
students whose interests are in the scientific and engineering disciplines.
Each year more than 13,000 Connecticut youths develop science projects
with more than 120 schools having science fairs leading up to this
event. Of these outstanding projects, over 500 middle and senior
high school students exhibit their work at the Connecticut Science
Fair.
We are asking for your help in defraying operating expenses and
providing awards for the students. Our activity is entirely staffed
by volunteers with no paid staff. All funds go into running the
fair, student awards and all expense paid trips to the International
Science and Engineering Fair, ISEF. Your contribution will help
us continue to meet our goals supporting Connecticut youth.
In addition, you now have the opportunity to sponsor a special
award in your name or a person(s) of special importance in your
life. Recently, the fair's Board of Directors approved the Alumni
Special Awards program. This program provides an opportunity for
Alumni to impact the next generation of fair participants through
financial encouragement.
Enclosed is copy of the current annual report showing our operating
costs and highlighting recent achievements. For more information

a sponsor".
Sincerely yours,
Sandra K. Müller, President
Connecticut Science Fair Association, Inc.
