Our Mission
The Connecticut Science Fair is a 501(c)3 nonprofit educational
organization that serves the youth of CT by providing opportunities
for recognition for those whose interests are in the scientific
and engineering disciplines. Our volunteers work to interest
youth in careers in science and engineering through our yearly
fair, teacher and student workshops and web site. We are a
charter member or the Intel International Science and Engineering
Fair, and activity of Science Service, Washington D.C.

For contributions of $1,000 or more, student awards valued
at 15% of the contribution will be presented by the fair in
the name of the donor. We would be delighted to work with
you or your organization to structure an awards category or
fund a fair project.
Corporate Sponsors
Corporate sponsorships support Fair operations and new projects.
The Fair is currently seeking sponsorship for new and existing
categories. Our goal is to provide rich and varied forms of
recognition for students, their advisors and schools.
Special Award Sponsors
Professional societies and businesses may sponsor awards that
focus on their unique interests. These awards require a minimum
value of $50 per student. Businesses are asked to provide
a contribution to Fair operations.

Recent Achievements
501 students from 112 schools and six regional/city
fairs competed at our four day state fair held at Quinnipiac
University in mid-March. 200 scientists, engineers, and educators
served as judges.
More than 400 awards having a total value of greater
than $100,000 were given at the state fair by CSF and the
84 organizations affiliated with our special awards program.
Fourteen CSF students went on to be recognized as semifinalists
in the Discovery Young Scientist nationwide competition. One was chosen as a top-forty finalist and trip to compete in Washington, D.C.
More than 15,000 projects were developed by Connecticut
7th through 12th grade students In competitions leading to
our fair.
For a second year, the fair's physical and life sciences award categories had cash awards underwritten by grant sponsors.
All four of our Connecticut Science Fair winners were
category winners at the 2006 Intel International Science and
Engineering Fair, May 713 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

and the opportunity to support an important recognition program
for the science oriented youth of Connecticut

Alumni and Member Awards
Alumni and members may sponsor special awards as part of their
Fair membership. Each contribution has a minimum value of
$100. This allows $50 per award and an accompanying membership
fee of $50.
